Late collapse and injury woes push Auckland FC down A-League table

Auckland FC slipped from first to third in the A-League after a 2–1 defeat to Perth Glory that was overshadowed by a growing injury toll.

Auckland led at halftime through Jesse Randall, capping a week in which his move to Dundee United was confirmed, but the hosts unravelled late as goals from Jaiden Kucharski in the 75th and 90th minutes sealed the turnaround.

Coach Steve Corica will be particularly concerned after goalkeeper Oli Sail was stretchered off with a suspected knee injury, while defender Nando Pijnaker was also forced out early, compounding a run that has now produced just one win in six matches.
