Two relatives of Reform UK leader Nigel Farage have reportedly had their bank accounts frozen because of their association with the politician, according to a friend who said Farage is “seething” over the growing impact of his public career on his family.

The claim follows Farage’s recent accusation that a Sky News reporter intimidated his daughter by visiting her home while seeking comment about political donations, an incident now subject to an Ofcom investigation following a Reform UK complaint.

The latest controversy emerged shortly after Reform UK’s national conference in Birmingham, where Farage’s keynote address was delayed by a security alert and repeatedly disrupted by protesters, several of whom were removed.

Although the identities of the relatives and the banks involved have not been publicly disclosed, GB News reported that a friend of Farage claimed the accounts had been frozen specifically because of their association with the Reform leader. GB News said it had approached Reform UK to verify the allegation, meaning the precise circumstances remain unconfirmed.

  2. When you take away cash, total control is given to the state.

In time they will legislate. And when they do legislate, it will be called democracy.

Not all these thing will be legislated at once. In time, more regulation will emerge.

Public referendums on all legislation is a must. Works in Switzerland. Why not here?

  3. What does this tell you about banks? They are in need of urgent reform and tighter regulation. They have zero right to involve themselves in politics whereas in truth, they are probably one of the most significant players in the global political arena for a long, long time.

  4. Just keep using CASH. Throw your phone pay systems away I cringe every time I see some idiot pay by phone , and they are so smug about it, hey looky at me I’m so smart. Maybe it’s time for me to start telling these fools what they think is convenience is the key to yours and everyone’s prison cells.
