In its first month of publishing online, Daily Telegraph New Zealand reached a total of 100,733 readers, according to Google Analytics.
This is a staggering result and well beyond what we had planned for. Our expectation was to achieve 100 readers a day by the end of six months. Furthermore the result has been achieved with the odds seriously stacked against us, with little or no presence on social media (we do not have a Facebook account), no marketing budget and search engine suppression/censorship.
We know there is much to improve on going forward. We have exciting plans to bolster our platform in the coming months to continue to grow our audience and reach more New Zealanders. We sincerely thank you all for this great beginning.
