Last month we introduced a new comment moderation policy.
The policy means our team will moderate all comments before publishing. Previously, moderation occured after publishing – a trust model.
The change was necessitated on account of a troll who took advantage of the free comment policy to make ad hominen attacks on contributors or other commenters. There’s always one person who has to ruin it for everyone!
Notwithstanding the change, comments can still be made anonymously, without the need for an account or login, or to enter an email address or other identifying information. We do this to encourage frank discussion and open and democratic debate.
One off troll comments will be edited or deleted. Where the is a pattern of ‘trolling behaviour’, or comments that contain hate speech or defamatory material, persons making such comments will be banned from our platform.
It’s all going down the toilet, being constantly censored, soon we’ll all have no platform, and yous all will have no viewers.. What’s the point of it all ????????????
