U.S. media report that Nick Reiner, the son of acclaimed filmmaker and actor Rob Reiner, has been taken into custody after Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead in their Los Angeles home, in what police have described as an apparent homicide.
According to CBS, ABC and the Los Angeles Times, Nick Reiner was booked into Los Angeles County jail on suspicion of murder, while police said they were seeking to speak with all family members as the investigation unfolds.
The couple’s bodies were discovered on Sunday, with reports citing stabbing injuries, though authorities have not publicly detailed the cause of death.
Tributes poured in for Reiner, whose career spanned classics such as This Is Spinal Tap, The Princess Bride and A Few Good Men.
