Taylor Swift has purchased the master recordings of her first six albums from investment firm Shamrock Capital, ending a years-long battle over the rights to her early music.
The pop singer, who previously re-recorded much of the material under “Taylor’s Version” after being denied a chance to buy the originals in 2019, called the acquisition her “greatest dream come true.”
Swift had publicly clashed with music executive Scooter Braun, who acquired her masters through Big Machine Label Group before they were sold to Shamrock.
