Jenni Smith the Girl Next Door

Auckland based Country Pop singer songwriter Jenni Smith announces the release of her 11 track debut album ‘The Girl Next Door’, a project that captures the full range of her artistry.

Smith’s album is described as a “diary-style” collection, representing three years of work.

Her journey so far has been marked by major milestones: winning Songwriter of the Year at the 2018 NZCMA Entertainer of the Year Awards, earning nationwide radio play, and achieving chart success with her singles T-Shirt (#3, 2024) and Stuck On You (#7, 2025) on the Official NZ Singles Chart.

Her playful, tongue-in-cheek story Shopping was released in November 2025, a track inspired by a real-life retail experience. Her latest single Mirror is described as a country-pop track exploring themes of identity and comparison. The single achieved top position on the Aotearoa Music Charts Hot 20 shortly after release.
