Nicole Eggert, known for her roles in Baywatch and Charles in Charge has been diagnosed with stage 2 cribriform carcinoma breast cancer.
The 51-year-old actress shared her diagnosis, which she received in early December 2023, in an exclusive interview with People.
Eggert decided to consult a doctor after gaining 25 pounds over three months and experiencing severe pain and a lump in her left breast, initially thinking these were signs of menopause. Despite difficulty in securing a timely appointment, she eventually underwent a mammogram and three biopsies. The tests confirmed her cancer diagnosis.
She opened up about her struggles and how she copes, mentioning her efforts to stay positive through reading inspirational quotes.
Eggert, who gained fame as a lifeguard on Baywatch will be undergoing surgery shortly to remove the cancer.
