Kanye West recently installed $850,000 titanium dentures.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, West’s dentures are ‘more expensive than diamonds’.

The response on social media has been a mix of ‘snark, mockery, and confusion’, with many viewing West’s latest stunt as a bid for attention and a reflection of his controversial nature.

Several comments on Twitter (X) said it was sadly indicative of contemporary celebrity culture where seeking attention is often the goal, and that celebrities like West will go to extreme lengths to be unique or garner attention.

Others expressed disbelief and criticism at the extravagance and perceived wastefulness of the procedure. The idea that replacing healthy teeth with titanium ones is excessive was a common sentiment.

There were concerns that West might eventually regret such an irreversible procedure. Comparisons were made to other permanent body modifications popularised by celebrities and queried West’s mental state.

‘Bro, just buy a toothbrush.’

‘I’ve seen it all.’

One bite and he cryogenically gives himself a lobotomy

Good for him! He’s laying out the insanity defense for something big, I just know it.
