Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been photographed with a large bruise on the right side of his face during a rare appearance near his home on the Sandringham estate.
The purple mark, visible from his temple to his cheek, sparked speculation after he was seen travelling in a Land Rover with a companion and a dog.
Sources close to Mountbatten-Windsor reportedly said the discolouration was linked to a “minor medical issue” and was not a cause for concern.
The sighting comes as the former royal continues to live largely out of the public eye following a series of controversies and setbacks that have seen him lose royal privileges and relocate from Royal Lodge to Sandringham.
