A pregnant West Australian music teacher has been charged with a series of serious child sex offences following an investigation by specialist police detectives.
33-year-old Naomi Tekea Craig was arrested on Tuesday and faces charges including sexual penetration of a child aged between 13 and 16, possession of child exploitation material, and persistent sexual conduct with a child under 16, with the alleged offending said to have occurred in Mandurah between 2024 and 2025.
Craig was employed at Frederick Irwin Anglican School at the time, where she taught music and was described as well-liked within the school community.
The school’s principal has confirmed the arrest, stating the charges do not involve any current students and that Craig has been barred from attending the school.
