Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has confirmed plans to reduce its workforce as Britain’s biggest carmaker confronts weaker sales, higher operating costs and pressure from US tariffs, with The Times reporting that as many as 4,000 jobs could disappear over the next two years.
North America is JLR’s largest market, leaving the British manufacturer particularly exposed to tariffs on UK-built vehicles despite London securing a reduced 10% rate. The company was also hit by a serious cyberattack last year that brought production to a standstill for several weeks.
Revenue dropped almost 10% in the quarter ending June, while pre-tax profit fell by more than two-thirds to £109 million. JLR, owned by India’s Tata Motors, says it “must adapt to evolving global market conditions” and is targeting approximately £1.7 billion in savings while reducing its annual break-even level to 300,000 vehicles.
A voluntary redundancy programme has now been opened for salaried and management employees, although JLR has not confirmed reports that up to 4,000 positions could ultimately go. The company directly employs roughly 34,000 people in the West Midlands and Merseyside and supports an estimated 120,000 additional jobs throughout Britain’s automotive supply chain.
The restructuring comes amid a wider contraction across Europe’s motor industry, where manufacturers including Volkswagen and Porsche are cutting tens of thousands of positions as weak demand, tariffs, elevated costs and increasingly competitive Chinese manufacturers squeeze established European brands.

CDHB owed my partner leave days…and an offer out of a workplace that bullied my partner into a constructive dismissal / resignation due to death threats and imposed stress where my partner suffered bullying from a department full of psychopaths and led by a closet Jew!
My partner was also denied the insurance claim for loss of income protection when the claim was filed.
During the 18+ years my partner was employed by CDHB, my partner was paid minimum, bounced around to three different departments in one day that laster for several months, denied a break and lunch, and the Service Managers orchestrated this!
When my partner went to a law firm (which had a conflict of interest w/ CDHB that we were never told about…) to discuss being re-deployed via negotiation, the Service Manager covertly had a lawyer in the room and lied about who the lawyer really was! (“This is ‘Andrew’ from Human Resources…”)
CDHB sent spies out to our home, (posing as a ‘Dean Smith..) & hired Able Security to photograph us in public!
Reporting this to the Cops led nowhere..along with our mail being ripped-open!
CDHB defamed my partner and violated privacy on several fronts!
ACC denied my partner’s on the job injuries, and surgeons refused to operate on my partner’s injured back and knee! The debilitating pain continues to this day decades later! We suspected that CDHB contacted ACC and said that the injuries were fraudulent!
We know that ACC keeps two separate files on clients; one is an official file, and the other a Targeted Individual file that denies ACC claims despite proof of injuries via MRI’s, X-Ray Reports, and long physical & mental suffering!
& BTW, even when my partner was a Union Member, they did fuck-all & NOTHING to help!!!

The shameful aspect is that of the Justice Ministry-if the case is over 10 years old, nothing is done.
IF you lose the case via Masonic & Satanic chicanery, we would have owed hundreds of thousands of dollars to the corrupt institution that injured my partner!!!! And we would have lost due to the witnesses being compromised and who feared for their jobs!
My partner has suffered blacklisting, malicious gossip & harmful rumours, and being targeted !
They even tried to come after our child, so we had to move to another city / district away from the child-trafficking tools that they were employing (I got the records via OIA…)
NO WONDER PEOPLE ARE PACKING-UP AND LEAVING, ONLY TO BE REPLACED WITH 85% I.Q. MIGRANTS that are easy to maipulate, control, exploit and pay minimum to!
