1160 new community cases of COVID, 56 in hospital – MOH PCR testing

The Ministry of Health reports there are 1160 new community cases of COVID-19 today, with 56 patients in hospital.

MOH COVID data is obtained by way of the PCR test.

‘Fully vaccinated’ again make up the greatest proportion of hospitalised cases in the Northern Region wards at 57%, while unvaccinated only account for 5% of cases.

    • Anyone with any sense will not get tested which is why the number of “cases” in the community is almost certainly much higher than MoH figures suggest.
We are running out of time to get the population infected and recovered from Omicron as we approach the colder, damper days of Autumn and Winter when bronchitis and pneumonia will reappear to complicate matters and also perhaps the flu which has been conspicuously missing these last two winters.

    • Exactly.

Given the unreliability of the PCR method and symptoms of Covid being so similar to other common cold or flu, I would say about 50% of the positive results are bogus.
