Galatasaray to take legal action against Mourinho over alleged racist remarks

Turkish football giants Galatasaray have announced plans to initiate criminal proceedings against Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho, accusing him of making racist statements following their 0-0 draw on Monday.

While the club did not specify which comments they were referring to, Mourinho was heard in a post-match press conference saying Galatasaray’s bench had been “jumping like monkeys” after a challenge on a young Fenerbahce player.

He also criticised Turkish referees, calling their involvement in high-profile matches a “disaster” and supporting the decision to appoint a foreign official.

Galatasaray condemned Mourinho’s remarks as “inhumane rhetoric” and vowed to file complaints with UEFA and FIFA, while also pressuring Fenerbahce to take action.
