Police have charged a 21-year-old man with murder following the death of Jason Poa, also known as Jason Tipene, in Hamilton last week.
Police said Poa died at a Lake Crescent address on Thursday, 18 December. Today, officers arrested a 21-year-old man at a property in Chartwell. He is scheduled to appear in the Hamilton District Court on Friday, 26 December, charged with murder.
Detective Inspector Daryl Smith said Police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the death. Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are continuing.
