Police are investigating after Krishnan spent six months working in the respiratory department.
RNZ confirmed this morning Krishnan had worked on about 80-90 cases, but was not responsible for diagnosis. His role was to follow up on research given to him by other doctors.
According to a report in Stuff.co.nz, Krishnan was trespassed from the University of Auckland after posing as a medical student.
Krishnan’s employment was terminated on 10 August, and a police investigation commenced the same day.
