Ardern says she suffers from ‘imposter syndrome’

The former PM was speaking to an audience at the John F. Kennedy Forum, Harvard University, earlier this week.

Ardern was introduced by Hannah Riley Bowles, a Senior Lecturer in Public Policy and Management at Harvard. ‘You inspire us truly as a global icon of strength and kindness,’ said Bowles.

A report of the event published on Harvard’s website spoke of Ardern in similarly glowing terms.

In a wide-ranging talk, Ardern spoke about the Christchurch mosque attacks, gun control, farmers, climate change, Covid-19 and politics in general.

‘Many people are cynical about politics, and I can see why,’ she said. ‘I was in politics for 15 years and I came out with a strong belief that politics is a place for positive change.’

Of interest was her admission that she suffers from ‘Imposter Syndrome’.

‘First of all I very openly, and I have no reason not to share this now or in the past. I’ve very openly talked about the fact that I suffer from imposter syndrome, or what we might otherwise call ‘confidence gap.’

‘And so people asked me well ‘how did you overcome that’? Never did. I absolutely never did, and yet I was Prime Minister for five years in spite of that. So the first thing I would say is you never know what you are capable of until you are doing it. And if you constantly anticipate that you do not have the skills or the capability to take on a role, you will have no idea what opportunities you will be missing out on. But worse still, what others will lose out on because you are holding yourself back. So if you ever have that moment of self-doubt, just imagine me in your mind’s eye.’

A video post showing a clip of the of the admission was shared on Twitter (X) by The Redbaiter.

‘Frankly, I don’t think it was any kind of syndrome,’ tweeted The Redbaiter.

‘She was right to doubt her competence as Prime Minister. She saw herself as out of her depth because she truly was out of her depth, and in spite of the tales she told the clapping seal Harvard audience about her roaring success in the role, she was in actuality probably the most incompetent PM in NZ’s history.’

Impostor syndrome, also known as impostor phenomenon or impostorism, is a psychological occurrence in which people doubt their skills, talents, or accomplishments and have a persistent internalized fear of being exposed as frauds.

Ardern is currently a Visiting Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School, a position she took up following her resignation as Prime Minister in January.

  1. Nope, I respectfully disagree with the Redbaiter.

She wasn’t “incompetent” or inept or an idiot. I’m tired of these terms constantly being used to excuse the DELIBERATE AGENDA we’ve seen from western politicians for the last decade.

This woman knew exactly what she was doing the entire time, and she 100% did the job she was “installed” to do. And she tucked tail and fled like a coward when they informed her that the next election wasn’t in the cards, that it was time for another 4 year set change. She didn’t even have the spine to at least pretend to lose graciously as it would mean a 2023 campaign trail of booing citizens and well-deserved eggings. That’s the size of the ego on this repugnant bag of bones.

I don’t care how many globalist awards they give her or how fat a salary Blackrock shove where the sun don’t shine, I will NEVER accept that this woman was just a poor hapless fool, out of her depth.

    She’s the god damn devil.

    • And again, couldn’t have worded that better.
      But more angry.
This ‘bag of bones’ is the most evil official New Zealand people had to endure. Ever. She wrecked society to a big and lasting degree.
And now she can’t set foot back into Godzone. Tell that dumbass Harvard audience that THEY can have her. Send Harvard, which is a cesspit of globalism, the flood of New Zealand sentiment.
      Evil bag of bones! Ha!

    • She knew alright. Stay away forever witch. Too right, she bailed because she couldn’t face the campaign trail.

She deserves every bit of grief thrown her way

  2. The only reason this person might possibly suffer from Imposter Syndrome is because she spends here entire life lying to her audience.
She was a globalist puppet paid to push the agenda, she knew what she was doing, she was evil and the world will never forgive her so she may as well just F**k of into a cave and never venture out again or better still be tried and convicted for crimes against humanity and spend the rest of her life rotting in jail. Maybe when this agenda she is pushing affects her own kid, maybe then she will put the crack pipe down and realize how evil she has been because this globalist agenda is coming for everyone even people who think because the helped push this message that they will have a seat at the table, they wont. The table at the top is very small and people like Jabcinda are just useful idiots.

  3. Sorry, a little bit of SICK came up when reading Bowles quote…..actually maybe it came up out of my Bowles? A very apt name for some talking about JA, loved by the delusional.
What a farce, she was and is an imposter as everything she does was to get attention and the lime light.
The only reason she wacked out a baby was to say “Look at me, I;m a working mum” to the UN.
This person has zero empathy for anyone’s life she has personally destroyed. I life of lies will be rewarded in the short term, I would not like to be her when she stands for judgement.

  4. Jabby remains out of the country due to the unreported threats made by the general population, and the fact that the NZ Police Diplomatic Protection Section was overwhelmed in dealing with this.
Harvard is a uni full of far lefties, and Zionists.
I don’t think it’s ‘Imposter Syndrome’…it’s primary psychopathy with secondary sociopathy.
This creature might have a rash from flying her broom in severe turbulence!…

  5. Ardern is confused again, she’s clearly suffering from ‘deranged woke climate-change stalinist narcissistic virtue-signalling syndrome’.

    Extremely common these days sadly.
