Wellington Police have retrieved the body of a man found in the water near Muritai Road, Point Arthur, Eastbourne.
The discovery was made around 9:40 a.m. by a member of the public, who immediately alerted authorities.
Police have started a formal identification process, though it is expected to take some time.
