A corrosive substance mistakenly used instead of detergent on a water slide at a Christchurch daycare triggered a large emergency response, with dozens assessed for potential chemical burns.
According to a report in legacy media paramedics transported several children to hospital, including one in serious condition, after staff raised the alarm and emergency services deployed specialist hazardous-material crews to decontaminate those exposed.
Authorities said the product mix-up caused skin irritation and blistering, but swift action, safety data provided on-site, and coordinated efforts by medical and fire teams enabled rapid treatment and resolution.
Don’t tell me
Cheap imported labour?
Can they speak English?
Read labels?
Could it also be an underling trying to make a supervisor look bad?
It would be interesting if an illiterate import was involved…
PLEASE…KEEP YOUR KIDS OUT OF THESE DYSFUNCTIONAL HUMAN CONDITIONING FARMS!!!
Homeschool…
There is no need to send a child to any school, where they will feel isolated, lost and then bullied / abused, especially with the proven incompetence that is being seen in the pre-schools, daycares, and primary schools these days!
If one cannot read a label and pours a corrosive chemical over a water slide as opposed to detergent, it make one wonder how in the hell did such a person get a qualification in Early Childhood Education if they cannot read a label?
We have even seen our child’s report from years ago that stated our child was ‘PERRISTING with difficulty’ & not ‘PERSISTING with difficulty. Our child is on the autism spactrum, and the people in the Pre-Schools and Child Day Care Centres have absolutely NO TRAINING in this area.
They also pick out children of parents whom the staff and teachers don’t like, and the perform passive-aggressive actions against tham, if not outright bullying!
IF you have an ASD child, then apply for the Child Disability Benefit if they are under 18 years old. This is NOT means-tested, although with the current National Party and it’s puppy-dog lesser party minions having contempt & hating New Zealanders ,they may have changed that.
The allowance is dogshit, but it’s better than nothing. They will also receive a Community Services Card until age 18.
The parents of such children may have to adjust their work schedules so that one parent can be present with their Special Needs Child while they homeschool with an MOE Exemption.
Bullying isn’t limited to just the children…

Description
This is the story of an American teacher who came to New Zealand hoping to share his love of mathematics with his students. What he encountered was an organized campaign to drive him out of his job and out of the teaching profession. This campaign cost him his job and his teaching career. Beginning with a detailed history of the author’s life prior to training as a teacher, the book weaves a tale through the intricacies of applying for and attending teacher training in New Zealand; finding a job as a teacher; struggling to teach students aggressively opposed to learning; and dealing with the various bureaucratic organizations that surround New Zealand schools. While much of the introductory material is light-hearted, the narrative evolves into a serious discussion of issues surrounding secondary education in New Zealand. The horrors confronting some teachers are described in full detail, with extensive documentation. The book brings the full impact of the problems home by giving the reader an intimate look at the effects of the abusive and destructive work environment that eventually led to the author’s walking away from his teaching career in order to preserve his mental and emotional health. This story is a must-read for anyone associated with education, particularly in New Zealand. IT raises serious questions about the demands we place on teachers. Ultimately, it questions the purpose and effectiveness of the education system as a whole, while exposing systemic failures at all levels. This story makes compelling, if frightening, reading. You may never want to put your child into a public school again.

The only political parties that are addressing bullying are the New Zealand Loyal Party and the Outdoors & Freedom Party.

I would sue the ever living sh*t out of them. They would be paying my children off for the rest of their natural lives
The bullying culture in NZ…having lived in the U.S. as well as NZ – am a returned Kiwi, it is so easy to see. Scared of competent people who may show up their own inadequacies – we are losing our able and willing people who have had a gutsful of how we are ignored, bullied, manipulated by govt who must be listening to someone else, but not people who voted them in…Gene Tech, no cash, Digital I.D. and other policies we didn’t hear about from any of them pre-elections…shows the whole system is a sham…so it is from the top down…shame on these people who did this Greg Smith with such competence and broad experience in several professions…shameful behaviour – this needs to be exposed and people named.
