Child dies of suspected drowning at Christchurch pool

A child has died today of a suspected drowning at the Waltham Swimming Pool in Christchurch.

  • Emergency services were called to the pool at 2.46pm.
  • Child was unresponsive on arrival and could not be resuscitated.
  • The pool will be closed today and tomorrow.
