Amir Hoshang Mohebbi, a convicted rapist, drug smuggler, and bigamist who has dodged deportation from New Zealand for nearly 30 years, has been sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment for raping an intoxicated woman in 2021 while on parole for earlier meth offences.
Mohebbi, 52, originally arrived in the 1990s as a self-proclaimed refugee and has repeatedly avoided removal by refusing to renew his Iranian passport.
His long criminal history includes bigamy, breaching protection orders, and importing meth.
Despite claiming remorse in a 2022 asylum appeal, the rape had already occurred. The victim, who now suffers ongoing trauma, confronted him in court, while the judge condemned his actions as predatory and exploitative.
Deport him. Not another taxpayer dime spent on him.
Why has this taken so long?

And given what I experience day to day, there is a huge tsunami coming. The idiots in the ivory tower have no idea what will hit them. Further, this awakening is changing how voters will look at genuine politicians who volunteer to walk the gauntlet of politics. Because there ARE individuals who merit our support and trust.

Why hasn’t this man been deported? This just proves how absolutely USELESS this country is and why any form of mass immigration or immigration of unvetted people is a REAL problem. Proves pur authorities are useless. Watch this space for the elders parents of immigrants to never leave, work for free in their shops, and take up space in our hospitals. They also get FREE (ie taxpayer funded) interpretation costs in our hospitals.
