Corrupt cop Bo Wang sentenced to home detention

Bo Wang news

Bo Wang was stopped and tested on 24 July after leaving a central Auckland bar.

Wang’s evidential breath test showed he was twice the limit. He requested a blood test.

Later that morning he gained entry into a police facility using a colleague’s swipe card, took his blood samples back to his home, and flushed them down the toilet. The destruction of the samples meant he could not be charged.

Wang, who has resigned from the police, previously admitted charges of perverting the course of justice and burglary.

At sentencing today in the Waitakere District Court he was sentenced to eight months home detention. Police had sought a prison sentence but this was declined by the judge on the basis of Wang’s previous good character and early guilty pleas.

  1. Height restrictions were wavered in an attempt to recruit more Police
Because they were getting a bit short
Now it looks as though we have gone through the bottom of the barrel

  2. We all know the cops have a pretty tough job at times, and when they are not beating up genuine protesters they do some important, and at times difficult work. So they can do without guys like Wang Wang Doodle taking the law into his own hands. I just hope he is not representative of the Police at large and that similar or worse misdemeanours have not simply been swept under the rug. But it’s really Jabby’s fault when all is said and done. Maybe they should arrest her instead. I’m sure they can come up with a good reason if they apply themselves.

  3. Oh shock horror!!! ???? this would mean that there is corruption in the nz police!!! The filthy boys and girls in blue. The commissioner will be proud. Let’s not forget hipkins they say corruption starts at the top. First hipkins, then the police commissioner, then the starsky and hutch wannabes. This is slapped ar*e stuff compared to level of law breaking within the force that really goes on.

  4. How true anon, the real corruption is never put out in front. If someone threatens to, they are dealt with harshly. In reality, the entire recruitment process is geared to eleminate people with any honesty. They want types who will take orders like the military. Simple, they are a military at the civilian level. That’s all….

  5. Luckily for Wong Move, the CCP don’t seem to be operating cop shops here., otherwise homeward bound he’d be. It’s only a matter of time though.
