A group of trampers who lost their way in the Raglan bush, west of Hamilton, were safely guided out late Saturday night after calling police for help.
The hikers became disoriented around 6pm Saturday night, prompting a coordinated response from Land Search and Rescue volunteers, who located and escorted them out by about 9.30pm.
Police maintained phone contact throughout the ordeal and confirmed that all members of the group were in good health. The exact location of their tramp remains unclear.
