Welfare, airline rights, retirement and Treaty bottom lines feature on the campaign trail as Winston Peters calls for Chris Hipkins to be jailed over Covid vaccine decisions.

NZ First Leader Winston Peters called for Labour leader Chris Hipkins to be jailed, accusing him of being responsible for Covid-19 vaccine decisions that Peters claimed resulted in people being harmed. Peters said Hipkins “should be behind bars explaining why he’s poisoned people” and challenged him to sue for defamation if the claims were untrue. Watch Winston Peters’ interview with Chris Lynch.

National Leader Christopher Luxon has been getting behind the controls of a digger on the campaign trail, two years after describing driving one as a “cool job” when discussing work expectations for people on Jobseeker. Luxon was on the Kapiti Coast today announcing National’s welfare policy.

Labour said it would give airline passengers clearer pricing, stronger rights and more choice, including automatic refunds for cancelled or significantly changed flights, while opening up more competition on domestic routes.Consumer NZ warned Labour’s plan could leave some passengers  without a flight if a cancellation triggers an automatic refund. Labour to give Kiwis a better deal when they fly.

ACT has released policies on strengthening the dollar, unlocking New Zealand’s mineral and energy resources, tightening welfare rules and gradually raising superannuation to 67. ACT said it would cut spending, speed up approvals for resource projects and introduce stronger welfare consequences sooner than National’s proposed two-year wait. Leader David Seymour said raising the Super age was inevitable as the cost rises by almost $2 billion annually. ACT: Unlocking New Zealand’s Resources, ACT: Welfare Reform and ACT: Seymour hints at raising retirement age.

Opportunity Leader Qiulae Wong said Te Tiriti will be non-negotiable in any post-election deal, with the Party prepared to walk away from talks over policies it believed would undermine the Treaty. Read more at Te Ao Maori News.

  1. So National want to dig a bigger economic and social hole, Labour want to make flying out of NZ for a better life elsewhere easier, ACT want us all to work until we drop, is that about right?

As for you NZF, saying something pertinent is all good but “doing” something about it, is what gets my vote.

  2. This is Winstons last election, NZF are stacking the Caucus with Brown skins and shutting the Whites out, NZF will remain a Brown Party that Whites vote for.
Micheal Laws (1% Maori-99% White) has already publicly identified as a Maori, he is compromised, 8 out of 10 of the Party list are Brown skins, if you are White, you only get to vote Brown.

And you had better like sucking on Joo foreskin.

    • I call them what not’s
      Not this not that
      Mixed race is no race
All races have been polluted to some degree and extent through race mixing miscegenation
Except the White Adamic race which has been preserved as a vehicle for the conveyance of the Holy Spirit
A bit like the Jews pretending to be Israel brandishing for protection the lie called antisemitism

    • Omg. Hitler is alive and well on the DT comments pages.

Fun fact. Henriette (“Jetti”) Wolf, a Jewish woman who reportedly worked as a housekeeper for Hitler’s half-sister, Angela, at Hitler’s residence in Berchtesgaden.

Hitler didnt hate jews, he utilised the german people’s jewish prejudice / jealeousy to galvanise the population for war.

The same technique is being used in NZ to distract you from ex NZ politicians buying multii million sidney water front homes without viable means or earnings to support the purchase.

And NZ politicians mysteriously retiring after overseeing sham covid fraud cover up inquiries.

      Don’t be fooled by propogandists.

Vote for freedom this election. Every vote for national risks returning the innumerate imbezzler Nicola Willis to continue siphoning your ever dwindling wealth and life expectancy, unchecked!

  3. Say a passenger’s flight is cancelled and Labour’s automatic refund kicks in before a replacement is arranged. They’d have their money back but still be stranded, which is the gap Consumer NZ’s warning seems to be getting at.

  4. The Treaty belongs at the bottom of the nearest long drop
Which has had strings attached and has become a tool of non White adventurism and expansion

  5. Winnie shoots from the hip and takes no prisoners
    He’s right on Hipkin’s
But its about putting food on the table stupid😁

  6. NZ First Leader Winston Peters called for Labour leader Chris Hipkins to be jailed, accusing him of being responsible for Covid-19 vaccine decisions that Peters claimed resulted in people being harmed. What, did peter the bumkin eater really say that, crikey defelection it is. 100x percent agree with it, however, All of NZ s Epstein class need t obe in the stockade for that hoax et al.
