NZ First leader Winston Peters made the announcement on Twitter (X) this week.
New Zealand has two official languages – Maori and NZ Sign Language. While English is the predominant language, it has never been given ‘official’ status.
Did you know that English is not an official language? Well, we’re changing that by delivering on a key campaign promise – we are making English an official language of New Zealand.
