Davis Trading Company Ltd is recalling its Essente brand Mixed Nuts (250g) after discovering the presence of undeclared hazelnuts.
The recall affects all batches and dates of the product, which is sold at Davis Trading Wellington and Davis Food Ingredients Palmerston North. NZ Food Safety has warned that people with tree nut allergies should avoid consuming the product.
Customers who have purchased the affected mixed nuts and have a tree nut allergy are advised to return the product for a full refund.
NZ Food Safety recommends seeking medical advice if there are any health concerns after consuming the product. For those without a hazelnut allergy, the recall does not pose a risk.
