Family mourns death of young musician as community rallies to repatriate him

Samuel Bronnimann, a 25-year-old Kiwi musician living in Leeds, UK, was found dead on November 23 after allegedly taking unidentified pills.

His death, ruled accidental by a coroner, has deeply saddened family and friends.

Bronnimann, a former RNZAF aircraft mechanic, had been living abroad for over a year, working in hospitality and as a DJ. Tributes highlight his kind and cheerful spirit, with colleagues at The Old Red Bus Station venue describing him as a talented and that he will be sorely missed. A Givealittle fundraiser has raised over $10,000 to assist his Whanganui-based family in bringing his body home to New Zealand.

  2. Oh dear, such a tragedy for everyone that knew him. Silly pills. What a real shame and loss.

The people that traffic these drugs don’t care. They are the criminals.
