Emergency services were called to the beach at around 1.10pm.
The deceased was one of two people on the ATV at the time of the crash, which occurred on the beach near the surf lifesaving club. The second person was uninjured.
Further information regarding the deceased will not be released at this stage, to allow all necessary family notifications to take place.
