Fatal crash, Kaipara
One person has died following a single vehicle crash in Kaipara on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Ararua Road just before 2.30pm.
The sole occupant was located deceased.
The road was closed while emergency services were in attendance.
The death will be referred to the coroner.
Fatal crash, Southern Motorway, Auckland
One person has died following a crash on Auckland’s Southern Motorway last night.
The single-vehicle crash near the East Tamaki off-ramp was reported just before 9pm.
The sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.
The Southern Motorway was closed southbound following the crash, but has since re-opened.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
Fatal crash, Pleasant Valley
One person has died and another has been injured following a crash in Pleasant Valley, near Geraldine.
Emergency services were called to the Geraldine-Fairlie Highway, at the intersection with Slacks Valley Road, just after 9pm last night.
One of the occupants of the single vehicle died at the scene, and the second was taken to hospital with moderate injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit attended and enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
