Five people are before the courts after a building fire in Taupō on Sunday.
At around 5.40am Police became aware of the fire, on Tauhara Road, which is believed to have been deliberately lit.
“Following initial enquiries, Police believe the property was used to manufacture methamphetamine”, said Detective Senior Sergeant Ryan Yardley.
“A scene guard was in place overnight and will remain while enquiries continue.
“Police continue to investigate the circumstances around the incident, including conducting a scene examination.
“Five men, aged 28 to 73, are due to appear in Taupō District Court today, charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and wilfully setting fire to a property and endangering life.”
In the smaller towns in North Amerika, the way drug dealers, cookers, etc. were dealt with was waiting until they left to go run an errand, make a delivery, etc., and then the Good Ol’ Boys would swoop in and set fire to the property that was housing the town’s problems.
Beavis, Bubba, Bouregard and Bulldog couldn’t stand the competition in part, or seeing little Suzie Lu becoming a drug addict or prostitute to support a drug habit- besides, Suzie Lu was reserved for the Most High Worshipful master of the Lodge, or a political figure.

At least it was a meth house / building- probably encroaching on another’s business area.
