Footage sought following fatal crash in Canterbury

Police are appealing for members of the public who may have CCTV or dash cam footage of the Dyers Pass Road area on Friday morning to come forward.

This follows further enquiries into a fatal crash involving a cyclist, who Police can now name as 79-year-old Michael James Hancock of Christchurch.

Police were first made aware of the incident at approximately 10.20am on Friday, on the Governors Bay side of the hill.



Police are also still seeking to speak to the driver of a white hatchback who may have information that could assist with enquiries.
