Yevette Williams, the former deputy principal of St Peter’s School Cambridge, has been exonerated of allegations of bullying and harassment.
However, the outcome comes three years late, leaving Williams’ teaching career in ruins.
Williams sued the school’s trust board for the lengthy investigation process, which prevented her from securing another job. The Employment Relations Authority (ERA) found the board should have expedited the investigation. Despite a delayed report clearing Williams of wrongdoing, her reputation and career suffered irreparable damage, she told RNZ.
Williams hopes the determination will enable her to resume her career.
