Student riots in France have reportedly spread to Italy, with looters fighting police in Milan, Bologna and Turin.
Local residents have been throwing objects at the looters to defend their cities, while fires have been set in front of the Milan Cathedral.
Austrian activist Martin Sellner said migrant gangs had broken into private homes while law enforcement stood by.
France’s former presidential candidate Eric Zemmour said the riots in France were “the true face of the great replacement” and described “a horde of Maghrebi and African barbarians entering the cities”.
Curfews are now being urged in some areas.
