New government figures show the country’s fuel reserves remain within normal operating levels, despite modest declines in petrol and jet fuel stocks.
Data released by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment showed the country had 53.1 days of petrol supply, 49.1 days of diesel and 53.7 days of jet fuel available or en route as of Wednesday midnight.
While petrol and jet fuel stocks eased slightly from the previous update, diesel reserves increased, with officials saying the fluctuations reflected standard shipping schedules and routine supply movements rather than any disruption linked to tensions in the Middle East.

Price at the pump still hasn’t come down. Govt could halve their tax and duty take. Vested interest.
This data set, released by the ministry of BS, will go down as the biggest hogwash in NZ history.
Mark my words!
Not because the data set is so false.
No.
Because it’s deadly.
Because in 6 weeks max, that whole house of pretentious BS cards will crumble when the sheeple expect to get their grub from exorbitant prcied food supplies at the plastic outlet monopoly supermarket., …if there are any supllies!
I wonder if the hungry punters will then make a connection to their ‘representatives’, you know, the grubs that they, the sheeple, trusted and voted for as public servants, to see the country right.
This will be awful.
