Reserve Bank documents released under the Official Information Act reveal that Governor Adrian Orr resigned due to a major funding dispute with Finance Minister Nicola Willis.
Orr believed the funding proposed for the next five years was inadequate, creating an impasse with the RBNZ board, which supported a significantly smaller sum.
The disagreement led to legal negotiations and Orr’s immediate exit on 5 March, despite having three years left in his term. Though initially planned to announce his departure after opening a conference the next day, Orr ultimately withdrew amid growing awareness of his resignation.
The bank denied speculation that capital-holding debates influenced his decision.
Another simultaneous coincidence, with Orr leaving the RBZ and Federal Reserve Bank Chaiman Jerome Powell (J3wi$h…) in the U.S. being potentially removed by Trump for refusal to lower interest rates.

RBNZ is Reserve in name only. It is a privately owned subsidary of the Central Bank, City of London. Rothschild owned. It is not a Crown entity, nor a New Zealand Company entity.
When the Central Bank collapses, NZ Corporation should seceded from the tax slavery Commonwealth system, raise an indigenous corporation and currency.
The NZ Treasury should then take control of the country’s monetary systems, and boot the Reserve Bank.
