Twenty-seven year old Michaela Bariball has pleaded guilty to the murder of 5 year old Te Puna boy Malachi Subecz.
Malachi died in Starship hospital from severe burns and non-accidental injuries on 1 November 2021.
Bariball’s sister Sharon pleaded guilty last month to a charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Both sisters will be sentenced on 30 June 2022.
