Police have launched a homicide investigation following the death of a man at a property on Kaponga Crescent in New Lynn, Auckland, on Monday.
Officers were called shortly before midday, but the man died at the scene despite efforts by first responders. Acting Detective Inspector Simon Harrison said one person was arrested at the address and confirmed the incident appeared to be isolated, with no other suspects sought.
A scene examination is underway, and police have maintained a strong presence in the area. Emergency services, including multiple police vehicles and forensic teams, attended the scene, while the victim’s identity has not yet been released.
