Iran denies ceasefire deal – retaliation will stop only if Israel ends attacks

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has declared that Iran will not agree to a ceasefire unless Israel halts its military actions by 4am Tehran time.

In a tweet, Araghchi reiterated that “Israel launched war on Iran, not the other way around,” denying reports of any current agreement to pause hostilities.

U.S. President Donald Trump had earlier announced on social media that a ceasefire deal had been agreed.

He stated that while Iran does not intend to continue its military response if Israel ceases its “illegal aggression” by the specified time, the final decision on ending Iran’s military operations will be made at a later stage.
