Israel has struck Iran’s Assembly of Experts building in Qom as senior clerics were reportedly counting votes to appoint a new Supreme Leader, according to a senior Israeli official cited by Fox News.
Al Jazeera reported that the strike targeted the Assembly of Experts — the constitutional body responsible for selecting and overseeing Iran’s Supreme Leader — at a critical moment in Iran’s leadership succession process.
Explosions were also reported in Shiraz, Karaj west of Tehran, and Qorveh in Kurdistan province. Witness accounts described heavy smoke rising across parts of the capital as additional strikes hit sites in Tehran.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it is preparing a 15th wave of retaliatory attacks targeting Israel as well as US forces stationed across the region. The IRGC specifically named Kuwait and Bahrain as potential targets, signalling the possibility of further regional escalation.
The developments come amid an already intensifying conflict that has drawn in regional powers and heightened fears of a broader Middle East war.

Iran’s senior clerics always prevented the development of nuclear weapons. If the dumb yanks celebrate the killing of such religious leaders, the western world has loudly and clearly sent Iran the message that Iran absolutely must develop a nuclear bomb now.
