Israeli airstrikes on Gaza mosque and school kill 24, local officials report

At least 24 Palestinians have been killed in two Israeli airstrikes on a mosque and a school in Gaza, according to local authorities.

The strikes reportedly hit the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Mosque and the Ibn Rushd school, both of which were sheltering hundreds of displaced individuals.

Gaza’s Government Media Office condemned the strikes, labeling them “brutal massacres.” In addition to the fatalities, 93 people were wounded in the attacks.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the airstrikes, stating they were targeting Hamas operatives who were using the mosque and the former school as command-and-control centres. The IDF insisted that it took measures to minimise civilian casualties, accusing Hamas of deliberately using civilian infrastructure for military purposes.

  1. Israeli terrorists strike again….all backed by the US and the UK, the latter jailing people for hurty words, whilst blithely funding real death and destruction…..truly disgusting……….
