Speaking amid heated parliamentary debate over whether New Zealand should join nations such as France, Canada, and Australia in recognising Palestinian statehood, Luxon warned recent attacks could derail hopes for a two-state solution.
Labour leader Chris Hipkins went further, echoing former PM Helen Clark in calling the conflict an “unfolding genocide”, urging the international community to act to “prevent further catastrophe”.
