A 46 year old man has been arrested at New Brighton Beach today for alleged indecent behaviour.
Police received numerous calls from the public around 1.45pm that a man was acting inappropriately towards females on the beach. The man was taken into custody, and will appear in the Christchurch District Court tomorrow facing three charges of indecent assault and one of resisting arrest.
There were many visitors to the beach at the time and Police would like to speak with anyone else who saw a man behaving inappropriately this afternoon.
