Man charged over smashed window at Winston Peters’ home

A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged with burglary after a window was smashed at Foreign Minister Winston Peters’ St Mary’s Bay home during a pro-Palestine protest on Monday evening.

Peters said surveillance footage and an eyewitness helped identify the suspect, who later turned himself in.

The attack, which left glass scattered over Peters’ dog’s bed, comes as Parliament considers legislation to ban protests outside private homes—a measure Peters supports for public safety.

Political leaders including David Seymour, Chris Hipkins, and Chlöe Swarbrick condemned the vandalism, with police reminding protesters to stay within the law.

The accused will appear in Auckland District Court on Friday.

  1. “Comes as Parliament considers legislation to ban protests outside private homes—a measure Peters supports for public safety”.
Very convenient, isn’t it. And then there’s that Marxist/communist language “public safety” being used. Very “soviet” of you Peters.

  2. Will JA, Hipkins et al be charged for the numerous crimes of the 6th Labour Government?

Curious 🧐 how quickly some criminals are dealt justice!

  3. Labour leader Chris Hipkins said he absolutely condemned the actions of the protesters outside Peters’ home saying it was “utterly unacceptable”.
Because Hipkins knows he is more universally hated than Winston Peters could ever be
Not that we would wish him any harm

  4. Acacia Ironside OConnor claims she is part Maori……father is English, mother doesn’t appear to have been Maori either……

She does appear to have once been a shareholder for a creative company though…..

    • Being woke is now rightist.

One NZ has now decided to be politically correct and has cut the actor Acacia O’Connor from their ads.

The “woke” shoe is now well and truly on the other foot.

      *gets popcorn*

      • “woke” is left, not right.

Woketards are the greenies and labour and anyone else who thinks men can be women.

Those of us on the “right” are conservative, we value truth, reality and frankly have thicker skin than these leftard wokester perma victims with no resilience, warped morals, made up sexuality and they are completely devoid of values or reality. Furthermore the left are incredibly VIOLENT.

All I can say is FAFO. good bloody job too. 🤣🤣🤣

Guess she better change her profile to “unemployed actress” now. I do think this “part Maori” narrative of hers needs further investigation too…….me thinks that’s fake
