A 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder following a fatal incident on Rolleston Street, Thames, on Monday, January 13.
The incident led to the death of 60-year-old Maxwell Connor, whose name has now been released by police.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Kaitaia District Court on January 16 to face the murder charge.
Police have renewed their appeal for information, particularly from anyone who witnessed an altercation on Rolleston Street around 3:40 p.m. on Monday.
