The single vehicle crash on State Highway 3 (Mokau Road) was reported to Police at 10.40am on Sunday 3 December.
The man was transported to Taranaki Base Hospital in a serious condition and sadly passed away on 6 December.
‘Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones,’ said police in a statement.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
