Mark Lundy denied parole

Mark Lundy news

Lundy was convicted twice for the murder of his wife and daughter in Palmerston North in February 2021.

Lundy has always maintained his innocence, and recently appeared before the Parole Board for the first time, having lost a retrial of the case in 2015.

The Board was concerned about the lack of a safety plan for Lundy’s release. Lundy conceded he had not thought about a plan for ‘reintegration into society’ because he was no guilty of the crimes.

Lundy will reappear before the Board before May 2023.
