Modi arrives in New Zealand

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Auckland for the first visit by an Indian prime minister to New Zealand in four decades, marking a significant milestone in bilateral relations.

Welcomed by Prime Minister Christopher Luxon with a formal guard of honour, Modi’s brief visit centres on strengthening cooperation in trade, investment, security, education, tourism and sport, following the signing of a controversial free trade agreement.

His itinerary includes meetings with business and sporting leaders, as well as a large community event at Spark Arena, while heightened security measures and traffic disruptions are in place across Auckland.

The trade deal has passed its first reading in Parliament with Labour’s backing, although New Zealand First has not supported the legislation, characterising it as a “sell-out”.

  1. India State grant loans to their ⁷private citizens to create small business opertunity worldwide then send a portion (say 15%) in perpetuity of their earning back home.

Inviting india buisness to NZ under privileged circumstances is like inviting leaches to gorge themselves on a living cow. An unassuming sacred cow called “Kiwi middle income”.

    • India presenting as a third world country has developing technology not third world at all. Billionaires make gains by any means, including leverage ie.sabotage, in business and on a personal level, tactics totally alien to here.

  2. Can Luxon make decisions such as those contained in the FTA with India?
Has he got the. power to make such sweeping changes to this country? I mean, he is not exactly what I would call a statesman. Nor even a standout politician. Surely he can’t just give away this country’s best assets. No person should have that power.
I can’t think of one Prime Minister since Michael Joseph Savage who has improved this country – and he was an Aussie!
If Luxon has the power to do what he intends to do, then the system needs changing.

    • Luxon is obviously completely corrupt.

Nobody voted for this deranged policy. It was never mentioned at all in the National Party election manifesto.

Luxon should be immediately investigated, arrested, charged, found guilty and then swiftly hung drawn and quartered in traditional medieval style.

      Problem solved.

      • Agreed he is corrupt.

Obviously screwing our nation so he can advance himself on the world stage just like Ardern Key and Clark.

        Waiting for his knighthood.

As a former National other this makes me sick.

    • Norman Kirk was a great man who never had a chance. Savage was only “okay”. My parents grew up in time in office (no I’m not as old as that might suggest-my parents had me very late in life) but I think they would be horrified by what Labour has become now.

I’ll add this is about the globalist movement not one person or party. The post nationalist belief that global commerce is all that matters. We need to stop playing personalities and supporting these party’s how embrace this increasingly toxic ideology.

Say NO to National and Labour even if you vote for one of the other party’s already in office.

  3. Selected crime bosses, on the debt slaves dime, work out their percentages for carrying out Fraud & Treason Arrangements (FTA) on behalf of their Imperialist masters.

  4. Apologies for vulgar language but what a pair of sinister conniving lying corrupt thieving evil globalist ars*holes.

Clearly Luxon is a stupid evil self-serving c*nt.

  5. Luxon is simply corruption personified.

He should be charged with treason/malfeasance followed by an extremely lengthy prison term.

  6. Have you herd of the Peter principle Luxon you are incompetent to do your job just like thousands in parliamentary jobs step down or suffer the consequences at the next election.

  7. He said it “Welcome Prime Minister”. Yep NZ’s new ruler.

As for you National and Labour, we can see what you stand for, could not be clearer at this point.

  8. Watch Australia slowly close its doors to New Zealanders. If you want to go there, make plans at the earliest opportunity. Thanks to Labour and National that economic escape route will soon be gone, especially for young people.
