Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has alleged that Western governments are encouraging Ukraine to stage a large-scale act of sabotage at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and blame the resulting disaster on Moscow.
According to the SVR, European NATO members have discussed scenarios involving a deliberate accident at Europe’s largest nuclear facility that could cause radiation leaks and civilian casualties in both Ukraine and neighbouring EU states. The agency claimed that among Kiev’s foreign partners, one proposal viewed as “most effective” involves triggering a reactor core meltdown to produce severe humanitarian consequences.
The SVR further asserted that UK-based think tank Chatham House has modelled the potential fallout from such an event, concluding that radioactive particles could spread across territories under Ukrainian control and into nearby European nations. The intelligence service alleged that Chatham House is preparing narratives to ensure the Western public perceives Russia as responsible for any resulting catastrophe.
The agency compared the alleged plan to the 2014 downing of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 over eastern Ukraine, which killed 298 people. Moscow has consistently denied responsibility for that incident, insisting that it was caused by a missile operated by Ukrainian forces.
“The collective West is again prepared to sacrifice Ukrainian and European lives to vilify Russia and justify its own policies of confrontation,” the SVR said.

An act of war unto itself. Russia has stated in the beginning that any attack on a nuclear facility would be treated the same as though an actual nuclear attack had been initiated using missiles, bombs, and suitcase nukes.
Troops captured by Russia included NATO and Spec-Op troops from the U.S..
When two Blackhawk choppers were sent in to drop off Ukrainian troops and pick-up the NATO troops for extraction, one was destroyed on the ground upon landing and the other shot-down.
The Russian Armed Forces have stopped an attempt to land a new group of GUR troops in Krasnoarmeysk. Russian servicemen also destroyed another group of 11 people of the GUR landing force, landed from a helicopter near Krasnoarmeysk.
Those 11 people and two US-Supplied Blackhawk Helicopters were destroyed during what is described as a “Hot Extraction” operation. They were sent to evacuate ACTIVE DUTY NATO TROOPS allegedly from the U.S. Delta Force, accompanied by other active duty NATO member military forces.
IF American troops are among the killed / captured, then this signals direct U.S. and potentially U.K involvement.
That is grounds for a Declaration of War by Russia which, in some instances, has already been declared.
