Police were notified just before 2.40am the crash involving a car and a motorcycle at the State Highway 3 and James Line intersection.
Sadly, the motorcyclist was confirmed deceased at the scene.
The State Highway 3 and James Line intersection remains closed while the Serious Crash Unit conduct a scene examination.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.

Follow too close – pass on yellow lines – dawdle out of side roads – don’t indicate
I used to travel at 90mph religiously now I don’ even like driving
Anybody who has driven a truck knows exactly what I’m talking about
Which is all about avoiding the low box
Some people are so ignorant and inconsiderate as to infuriate invoking all You wanting to do is force them off to the side of the road and dispatch them
Then carry on and have a good day
Probably more a case of a couple of motorists finding out that despite it being 2.40am there is someone else on the road.
