Mount Albert Grammar School has confirmed the person killed at Baldwin Avenue Train Station on Wednesday was one of its students.
In a report by state media, headmaster Patrick Drumm said the school was supporting the boy’s family, as well as students and staff affected by the loss.
Police have spoken with students who witnessed the incident and are asking anyone else who saw what happened to come forward. The school remains open, with senior examinations continuing as scheduled.
